Lagging behind

Time has flown by and yet the dust continues to settle on all things bike related. Though the weather was ideal for some weekend riding regardless of venue, the family was off for adventures. Sears, a fun place to spend an hour getting lost, bull crap. Needed a new battery for my drill, the new battery was 40 bucks but my drill is only worth 70 bucks, so why buy one new battery when i could but the same drill that comes with two batteries and a flashlight...hmm. Another fun fact from the adventures that was "family". You can get a baby seat tested for safety on the German Autobahn. Sure, you pay 5 times more for this brand of seats but is there really a need for it. Turns out the WRX does not like car seats as anything we try takes up the entire back seat or forces the front seat all the way forward so you eat your own kneecaps. The weekend was rounded out by the annual civic oil change. One year, 3300 miles = Oil change. Luckily things were easy and ESC was there to provide backup and make sure the floor stayed put. ESC was ready to flex his might if the oil filter got stuck though.

Got Skinnies on the Giant now, 26 x 1.6s. They roll smooth but are heavy as iron. They weigh an unbelievable ton. The Gus also stopped by for bike fitting time. The Schwinn was just not feeling right. So we spent the better part of a 12 pack figuring out stem length, saddle height, etc and after some swap overs, spacer removals, I got my position pretty close to being dialed in (close the Giant as possible). Hoping this reduces the knee tendonitis. Damn these lanky legs, spindly arms and short torso. The weather is looking good again.....
